When we bought the house we were thrilled but at the same time terrified as it required some renovations done, floor replacement being one of the most pressing. That was when we started looking for professional hardwood flooring in Northbrook, as it was not necessarily the task that we wanted to do by ourselves. Ok, I’m kidding but that choice saved us plenty of money, time and stress.
Refinishing floor in three (easy) steps
Upon the inspection of existing floors guys from the company told us that the floor, made of solid hardwood, is actually in pretty good condition, only worse for the wear. Which, in case of the hardwood floors, may mean that replacement isn’t required. The solution suggested for us was refinishing, that is sanding off old finish (there wasn’t much of it left by the way), smoothing the surface and covering the whole thing with new finish. Easy enough, at least that is how it looked like when done by the contractors from Teddy. Result – we enjoy exquisitely renewed original oak floor that looks brand new and haven’t cost as an arm and a leg.
